We believe that management is not just about making strategies, but about shaping the future, promoting innovation, and enhancing leadership.
Here is our philosophy
In the competitive environment of the global market, the focus of enterprise development is to connect customers, R&D centers, suppliers, manufacturers, sellers, and service providers into competitive partners. The supply chain collaboration model can strengthen the planning and control of business flow, logistics, information flow, cash flow, and human resources flow. In addition, this center introduces the equipment and environment needed to build collaborative operations, and offers related professional courses, trains industry talents, and conducts related research to provide students and industry with a platform for knowledge and experience exchange.
This center focuses on "big data analysis", "Internet of Things technology" and "cloud technology", and in line with the trends of technological development at home and abroad and the needs of the university, provides support for teaching, research, promotion, and industry-university cooperation in related smart technologies for all teachers and students of the university. In the future, this center will focus on artificial intelligence data analysis and artificial intelligence Internet of Things related technologies, hoping to provide support for teaching, research, promotion, and industry-university cooperation in related smart technologies for all teachers and students of the university. The annual operation goals of this center are teaching, research, and service, establishing the characteristics of the center and actively striving for the performance of industry-university projects.
In recent years, due to the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT), its application to the retail industry has greatly reduced operating costs and improved operational efficiency. Under this advantage, this center has built a simulated smart store to guide students to understand the interaction mode between customers, employees, and suppliers with the retail system, using information technology to help customers enjoy shopping, increase sales and customer loyalty. On the other hand, through cooperation with software and hardware manufacturers to support software writing and system construction, through teaching, seminars, and cooperation with manufacturers, innovative retail service models are created, and research results are further promoted to practical industries, building a communication bridge for industry-university cooperation.
Recognizing the importance of cold chain logistics to food safety, in order to assist domestic logistics operators in improving and creating value for current food logistics services, the "Cold Chain Certification Center" was established by integrating the teaching and research resources of the College of Management. Internally, it provides the center's software and hardware equipment resources for teaching and research, student cold chain certification exam counseling, and practical project research. Externally, it conducts cold chain manufacturer evaluation and certification, cold chain logistics talent course offerings and certification, manufacturer cold chain certification counseling, and undertakes industry-university cooperation projects. In addition, relevant manufacturers or scholars will be invited to hold lectures, seminars, and symposiums, hoping to achieve the purpose of experience and academic exchange through discussions on cold chain related equipment, characteristics, structures, and operating standards between industry and academia.
The Enterprise Integration Research Center (EIRC), affiliated with the College of Management at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, was established in 2018 and upgraded to a college-level research center in 2022. The center is dedicated to integrating interdisciplinary expertise of faculty members, promoting research outcome translation, and fostering industry-academia collaboration and talent development. EIRC actively responds to the development needs of southern Taiwan's high-tech industrial clusters (such as Qiaotou Science Park and Renwu Industrial Park), assists enterprises in solving R&D challenges, facilitates academic resource matching, and participates in various government and industry projects. Research achievements cover fields including AIoT, smart manufacturing, and service innovation, with multiple patented technologies. Through collaboration with numerous domestic and international enterprises, EIRC continues to drive local industrial upgrading and digital transformation, making substantial social impact.
In line with national economic development, the center provides various factories, science parks, and national defense and civil industries, contributing to industrial research capabilities, energy saving and carbon reduction, and achieving ESG and SDGs goals. The operational goal is to assist industry and commerce in enhancing competitiveness and developing the characteristics of the school and departments. The operation of this center belongs to the category of engineering technology, developing technologies related to science and engineering. The origin of this center is to respond to the large demand of factories and national defense, proposing the need for long-term cooperation with the school, jointly developing academically excellent technologies and cultivating high-level R&D talents.
